Organization

The project managers at Indiana Steel Fabricating, Inc. utilize the Abacus Project Management System to track each project. Using the Abacus System, the project manager is able to keep records pertaining to drawing distribution, revisions, approvals, RFI's, letters of transmittal, notification of changes and any other significant record of communication with the customer or his representative. This attention to detail makes it possible for each project manager to keep up to date on the progress of each project and ensure the project is staying on schedule.

Internal Communication

Indiana Steel Fabricating, Inc. has its own In-House Detailing Department, allowing each project manager is able to discuss revisions to drawings and plans immediately with the detailing department. This internal communication with the detailing department allows the project manager to quickly communicate with the customer the impact changes to the plans or drawings will have on the project schedule. Then, the project manager and the customer can find the best possible solution that meets the project requirements
